While attempting to complete a photography assignment for school,
I was issued two misdemeanors ticket for taking a photo of
the interior of the Long Beach veteran’s hospital.

Being from Iran and having two federal cases make it impossible
for me to get my residency in the U.S. I had to go back home.
So after hiring a lawyer, and going through a lot of paperwork and anguish for few months, the court dismissed the case based on
racial profiling.

The wallpaper is all the work that i went through to dismiss the case.
The framed picture with two politicians and the U.S flag (painted by
Jasper Johns) is the actual picture that I took. The blew up citations
are also framed and included. The video is projected on the front wall conveying my feeling while going through this hassle.

This project is a critique of social, political and educational system
in this specific time and place.
